“Law’s creative passion has been there since childhood. After a head count at the end of an out door school recess, one child was missing. It was Law, of course, and she was found inside, painting at her easel. She was five years old.”

Jan is in Marquis Publications: “Who’s Who in American Art” and “Who’s Who in American Women”. Her art has been shown in global art exibitions, art magazines, art catalogues and the prestigious book “25 Years PGM Art World” (Published – Germany).

At age 12, Jan took painting and drawing classes at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts. She studied Studio Art and Art History at Paris American Academy, Paris, France, Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts and Pine Manor College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts (AA Degree and BA Degree).

Painting, dance (ballet and social) and music have always been an intricate part of my life. Music is constantly playing in my art studio. My paintings and drawings are colorful. To me, color sets a mood and brings life to a composition. I attempt to be free, no limitations as to colors, subjects or techniques/styles, at times combining several techniques (realism, abstract and impressionism) in a painting. I just let a painting evolve, taking on a life of its own.

To keep my paintings fresh and alive, I challenge myself by using different media, subjects and styles. “She is one of the few artists I have seen who is accomplished in so many styles,…she is not limited, and she is an impressionist and a realist. Very few people can do that.”

Many of her paintings have been published into Fine Art prints by Art Publishing Companies and displayed and sold in many National Art Expos - United States and International Art Expos - Canada,Europe etc. Jan’s Art has also been shown in many galleries in the United States and Japan.

To those who view my art, I hope to bring feeling of serenity, beauty and enjoyment – Jan
